Picking warm-up

Pick down on the click and up on the note between. Keep that down-up motion going even when you cross strings.

Eighths are two notes per click, triplets three, sixteenths four. Move up a step only when the slower one sounds even.

Across strings uses open strings only, so your fretting hand can rest while your picking hand learns to find each string.
